Hot Off The Press!

I should be better about sharing the articles that have come out- because TRULY, I love each and every one of them.

And this one, this "Backdrop of equity" has been one that has been a labor of love. As part of a larger team (where we call ourselves the Laborious Research Team,  ha!), we conducted 63 interviews with campus staff who hold racially marginalized identities. They were hard interviews-- sometimes long interviews-- but in all, were profound interviews and some of the most incredible conversations I've gotten to have about why people do the work, day in and day out. 

And it's that last part that really illuminated why this study's central finding became what it is and center community organizing because at the heart of this work (and whew! What at TIME to b be working in higher education) what and who we have, is each other~
