Because Due Dates
Sneak Up on us...

...and because the competitiveness of academia and the scarcity of funding often breeds information hoarding, which ultimately benefits no one. So my request is that as you read, learn, and are reminded of due dates, applications, calls for proposals, etc. (whether that be on this site or others), send it to others, share it out, and resist the ways this system tries to pit us against one another, and let's instead, build each other up.

For navigation, you can imagine this page as two sections: the first as  ongoing and regularly updated for conference & fellowship/program deadlines; and the second as static  with journals, academic orgs, and job portal sites. Teal indicates hyperlinks.

JOURNALS

CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT JOURNALS ARE OUT THERE?
Here's a  list created by Bowling Green State University on peer-review journals within higher education and student affairs.
Higher Education Journals
For those of you who publish at the intersection of international education, global studies, and higher education, check out this list too, from the Higher Education Special Interest Group within the Comparative Education and International Studies (CIES) academic organization.

WANT TO KNOW YOUR JOURNAL REACH?
Many academic journals have a number called "Impact Factor," which is a calculation based on the readership, the number of times a journal is being cited, and more. These numbers are important for things like tenure/promotion, but please note that some really excellent journals do not have impact factors. And, like most measurements, these numbers are products of our socialization (along the same vein of how college rankings are constructed).

WHAT ABOUT FOR GRAD STUDENTS ?
Here are some journals a bit more friendly and receptive to graduate students, but please don't limit yourself! (Thank you to ASHE CEP 2018 for putting it together).
