Unfortunately, this ugly history continues to haunt the present moment. The recent murders of Chung Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Ae Yue, Delaina Ashley Yaun, Paul Andre Michels, Xiaojie Tan, and Daoyou Feng in Atlanta, Georgia have called attention to the significant and aggressive surge in violence against the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities.
